Cherry Blueberry Spinach Smoothie with Honey

I typically eat blueberries with a few big dallops of low-fat yogurt for breakfast. I've changed things up recently with smoothies. Smoothies are a great way to add anti-oxidants and a nutritional boost to your diet.
Don't turn you nose up to the spinach, you'll never know it is in there and it's good for you. The peanut powder adds body and a touch of earthiness that pairs will with the berries and banana.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup frozen dark cherries
  • 1/2 cup frozen blueberries
  • 1 cup fresh baby spinach
  • 1 banana
  • 2 tablespoons powdered peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup vanilla Greek yogurt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries
  • 1/2 cup water or milk adjust to desired consistency
  • 1 tablespoon honey

Instructions

  • Prep Ingredients: Peel the banana and break it into chunks. Measure out the frozen dark cherries, frozen blueberries, fresh baby spinach, vanilla Greek yogurt, powdered peanut butter, vanilla extract, fresh blueberries, honey, and water or milk.

  • Blend the ingredients on high speed until smooth and creamy. If the smoothie is too thick, you can add more water or milk gradually until you reach your desired consistency.

Notes

Optional Additions: Feel free to add a handful of ice cubes if you prefer a colder smoothie, or you can also incorporate other ingredients like chia seeds, flaxseeds, or protein powder for added nutrition.
