Quick and easy with a delicious pay off. I was really dragging and not motivated the morning I made these. I wanted something but didn't want to put in too much effort. Poking around the fridge I found the Pillsbury Honey Butter Crescent Rolls. They were just asking to be made into something more than ordinary. Minimal effort and you are a breakfast hero!

Equipment

  • Sheet pan
  • Parchment Paper
  • Two small bowls

Ingredients

  • 1 package 8 ounces Pillsbury Honey Butter Crescent Rolls (8 rolls)
  • For the Filling:
  • 1/4 cup butter softened (or partially melted in microwave)
  • 1/4 cup light brown sugar
  • 2-3 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • For the Glaze:
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1-3 tablespoons milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract optional

Instructions

Instructions:

  • Preheat your oven to the temperature recommended on the crescent roll package, typically around 375°F (190°C).

Prepare the Filling:

  • In a small bowl, mix together the softened butter, brown sugar, and ground cinnamon until well combined.
  • Prepare the Crescent Rolls:
  • Unroll the crescent roll dough onto a clean surface.
  • Separate the dough into 8 triangles along the perforated lines.
  • Fill and Roll the Crescent Rolls:
  • Spread a generous amount of the prepared filling onto each triangle of dough.
  • Starting from the wide end, roll up each triangle towards the pointed end, forming crescent shapes. Be gentle, no need to roll them up tight.

Bake the Rolls:

  • Place the rolled crescent rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or lightly greased.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.

Prepare the Glaze:

  • While the rolls are baking, prepare the glaze by mixing powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract (if using) in a small bowl. Adjust the consistency by adding more milk if needed.
  • Glaze the Rolls:
  • Once the rolls are baked and slightly cooled, drizzle the glaze over the top of each roll using a spoon or a piping bag.

Serve and Enjoy:

  • Serve the cinnamon crescent rolls warm. Enjoy them as a delicious treat for breakfast or as a snack any time of the day!
  • Enjoy your homemade cinnamon crescent rolls!
